TOTA is a family…
At its core is Roseann, CEO/President and visionary of this Clearwater, FL-based arts community. A singer, educator, Kodály specialist, conductor and music theatre enthusiast, Roseann built this program from her highly sought-after private lesson home-based business. Now in her brick and mortar, she was able to expand this high-level program to include classes for all ages (toddlers through senior citizens), all based on these fundamentals of classic training:
Students want to be pushed to reach their full potential.
Students respect honest feedback.
Students will be more dedicated to a program if they feel they are an important part of a team.
Students enjoy working with others of varying ages, allowing mentors to rise from these inner families.
Roseann realized that essentially, everyone wants to be part of a family and wants something to be proud of. We see these ideas succeed as our students achieve the highest level performances while they are with us, and then go on to top-tier universities, Broadway, national tours and so many more wonderful and fulfilling careers.
Here at TOTA, everyone is family in one way or another. Roseann raised her twins, Ariana and Nick, in a home that celebrated creativity and nurtured talent. It became a part of everyday life, to strive for artistic beauty and higher learning. While each had their own path, life led them both back home to Florida: Nick, rich with performance experiences from NYC after the completion of his degree in Music Theatre at Oklahoma City University; Ariana soon followed, bringing the mastery of her Music Theatre degree from Oklahoma City University with the added expertise of an MBA in Arts Management.
The TOTA team was further enriched with alumni who had trained under Roseann’s tutelage, understanding her vision and believing in its impact on life and professionalism. Elizabeth Morgan, who trained in classical ballet and holds professional credits in regional music theatre houses as both a performer and stage manager, joined the team bringing the world of movement, choreography and stage management to our students. Alumni, one by one, joined the TOTA team after completing their degrees and professional training. Filling out the staff, Roseann carefully selects teaching artists of the highest quality with a similar vision and belief of crafting artistry through classical study intertwined with contemporary sounds and ideas.
What makes a family special is their home. TOTA is no different. When you walk through the doors, you are instantly welcomed by the upscale and professional feel, the artistic flair and the attention to detail. From the black box theatre, to the beautiful Yamaha pianos, to the recital hall, rock band room, craft room, early childhood room, spacious teaching studios, dance room and the student lounge, decorated with weekly chalk art creations - once you walk in, you never want to leave. And so our students return year after year to explore the world of music, theatre and dance, to build a career or simply lifelong learning, and experience a joy that only the arts can bring.
Come visit. We know you will want to stay for a long while.
